    Since the mid 1970's, most of our openers have been sourced from a German foundry with a few stainless-steel ones coming from Asia.  But here, we introduce a new, 'Made in the USA', 2024 copyright edition of our Plain STARR "X" bottle opener - a true testament to innovation and craftsmanship. Crafted using cutting-edge metal 3D printing technology, this opener is printed in a 420i alloy (LINK), a highly coveted material within the metal working industry. Blending the strength of steel with the elegance of bronze, it embodies a harmonious fusion of form and function.

    This exceptional bottle opener is a rare gem, proudly marked with Made in the USA on its base. With limited production of this 2024 model, it should be a sought-after item for your collection. Take a moment and check out all the pictures and discover the details of this opener.  Also check out the pictures of some of the production processes.  These openers are straight from the forge - with no tumbling, polishing or special finish added.  We think they have a similar look & feel of castings from our German green sand foundry.  And in the right light, the bronze color of the opener is visible.  As they age, the openers might turn an orange/brown color.  Precise production numbers of this opener will be documented upon the retirement of this year's model.
